About

"We started working on the "I WILL" Campaign in May of 2015. Since then, it has grown tremendously and has become truly unique to our campus. The "I WILL" Campaign is a student-led effort to start our work on campus to end rape culture. Our mission is to work together to end rape culture by raising awareness of sexual assault and promoting consent. The "I Will" Campaign Board of Directors strongly feel that it is important to recognize that not just sexual assault, but the presence of rape culture in our society affects people of all identities. Along with this, our directors recognize that in order to work on this issue on our campus, we need to be active and engaging. That is why our campaign is centered around programming and events. Throughout the " I Will" week we will have a resource fair, consent and bystander intervention workshops, guest speaker Laci Green, informational sessions with the Dean of Students on the reporting process and much more. The "I Will" campaign is co-directed by ASUA Administrative Vice President Tatum Hammond and ASUA Senator Matthew Lubisich. We also have a team of dedicated volunteers that are a big part of making "I Will" happen. Along with this, the board of directors is made up of UAPD, Pride Alliance, FORCE, The Men's Project and SPEAC, Panhellenic, IFC, Campus Health, RHA, Dean of Students, Athletics, SHAC, Diversity & Inclusion, ASUA & GPSC. We are excited to work together as a united front to launch the "I Will" Campaign and start our work on campus to end rape culture. The second annual "I Will" Campaign will be held April 3rd-7th of 2017. Make sure to come to our events, sign our pledge and be a part of our work to end rape culture."
